Tobacco-Free, Smoke-Free, and Vape-Free

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy working and learning environment for our students, employees, and visitors. That's why Los Rios Community College District is tobacco-free, smoke-free, and vape-free.

The restrictions on the use of tobacco products apply 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and 365 days per year. The restrictions apply to all campuses, educational centers, and offices. The restrictions apply to all indoor and outdoor spaces – including parking lots or structures – and college vehicles.

What is Prohibited?

The following are prohibited:

  • Smoking of any kind
  • Using chewing tobacco or other smokeless tobacco products
  • Using marijuana (including medical marijuana)
  • Using unregulated nicotine products (such as vapes, electronic nicotine delivery systems, or electronic smoking devices)

Smoking is defined as inhaling, exhaling, burning, or carrying any lighted or heated cigar, cigarette, pipe, or any other lighted or heated tobacco or other product intended for inhalation, in any manner or in any form.
